Which Clique are you in?!?

Hey guys! Welcome to another dose of my blog! I'm sure each one of us has a certain group which we belong in, am I right? Well, that is exactly what I will share with you in this blog post. Today, I will help you, my readers, to find out if you truly belong in your current "barkada" or if you are suited to join other "tropas" as well. READ ON!

To quote, "they are not worth our attention." Minsan, sila rin yung mga isip- bata. And most of the time, sila ay mayroong sariling mundo. Magkakauri kasi e. Dahil dyan, sila ung laging napagtitripan.
Tambayan: Sarili nilang mundo

Motto:"Okay na yung hindi mapansin. Care ko sa kanila? May sarili ba silang

C. Teacher's Cats and Dogs- Teacher, gusto mo? Teacher, ako na lang. Teacher, may I help?

D. REBELlion- Kung yung mga Straight A Students, laman ng office dahil my panibagong award, eto namang grupo na to, laman ng office dahil may panibagong...offense. Gulo dito, gulo doon. Yikes!
Tambayan: Prefect of Discipline

Motto:"Only the strong can survive!"

E. M.M.M. Group- (Maarte, Malandi, Maldita Group)Maarte. Mga Laman ng Bag: Suklay, Pabango, Powder, Foundation, Eyelash Curler, Blush-On, Lipstick, Lip Gloss, at ang climax, ang napakalaking salamin. Malandi. Ang greatest accesory niya: isang lalaking nasa tabi niya. (gets mo?). Maldita. Maraming kaaway. Self- Explanatory.

Lagi rin silang candidates for teacher's enemy.
Tambayan: Pagala-gala.
Color: Yellow
Motto:"Knock, knock. Who's there?"

I. Emo Society- a.k.a. LONERS. Lagi silang nakasimangot, mag-isa sa isang tabi. Laging umiiyak at kapag tiningnan mo wrists nila, magugulat ka. (alam mo na kung baket.) Walang pake sa mga bagay-bagay. Ewan ko ba.
Tambayan: Sa isang tabi. Umiiyak.

So, there you have it, guys. These are just some of the stereotypical groups in school. You could even possess more than 1 characteristic. But, keep in mind that all of these are a part of high school. And high school will not be complete without one of these... Stay Cool!

PATRIOTISM Modernized

What's the first thing that enters into your mind whenever you hear of the combination of the colors Red, Yellow, Blue, and White? And I am sure you are familiar with the 3 stars and a sun pattern, aren't you? Well, I think I know what you’re thinking. These signify the identity of our very own country, the Philippine Flag. This is primarily the concept of  one of the latest and hottest trends ever to hit the season- Patriotism in a modern and cool way to which the youth could relate. This trend is what I call the I Am Pinoy fever.

Many people, especially teens, are avid aficionados of the said trend. I mean, who wouldn’t be? The iAMPiNOY trend is not just hip but it also lets us express our love and loyalty for our country. This trend taught me to be proud of being proud of our dear Philippines. Because of these, many top brands and boutiques have released their respective lines patterned on the trend; top brands like Bench (Pinoy Lab), Penshoppe (iamninoy.) and 3 stars& a sun created by Francis M. himself, to name a few.

The iAMPiNOY has a range of articles of clothing, from tagalog statement shirts to RYBW colored shirts, from vintage tees to Ninoy and Cory shirts- name it! But do you ever wonder why designers and creators of these clothes do not make shirts that are like the Philippine flag? Why? Because it is against the law. Yep. You heard it right! It is against the Republic Act 8491 or otherwise known as an act prescribing the code of the national flag, anthem, motto, coat-of-arms and other heraldic items and devices of the Philippines. It is mentioned in the said act that Several commercial uses of the flag are prohibited, including using the flag as a trademark or for commercial labels or designs. Also, RA 8491 prescribes that any person who will violate its provisions may be punished by a fine of at least P20,000 or imprisonment of not more than one year. Yikes!

As conclusion, there are many ways to show our gratitude and patriotism to our beloved country. Let us reminisce upon the hard work and the dedication our heroes gave just to save this archipelago from falling down. Kudos Filipinos! Stand up, loud and proud!

It's All in the Paper Bag!

Picture this: Your parents took you out shopping for new clothes, one day. Then your mom let you choose where you want to shop at; the Department Store or at your favorite boutique? Well, you will think that the answer is so obvious and pick the second one. It’s not just because of the brand, nor is it because of the variety of items you will pick from, but because of something even more. Something you consider a necessity. It’s as if you’re not only taking with you the item alone, but also…the PAPER BAG.

As I have said, the paper bag is marked essential for the youth of today, especially to us, students. But what’s so special about it? Is it so precious that some would like to use even fake ones? I clearly understand that students need paper bags so that they can carry things that cannot fit into the bag, but is that even the main purpose of having bags made out of paper? For me it’s not. If you are eco-friendly, you would say that you use them because they’re safe to the environment. True. However, in my opinion, others use paper bags to show off the brands that they usually shop at. It is their way of bragging since they can’t use or wear the item in school. Another reason is others are trying to use it as a status symbol to keep up or to cope up with others. The truth of the matter is, it is not wrong to use paper bags. I, for one, am so fond of collecting paper bags. My mom even gets irritable everytime she sees a ton of them in my closet. Let us just be humble and meek when whenever we use them. Let us use them for our own ease and comfort and not for other people’s envy. Why am I saying this? I am saying this because for me, we should personify or embody the Josephian attitude which is being modest students and citizens of our country.

There you have it folks, your first dose of my blog. Let us keep in mind that these are just material things and we should not be taken over by these for these could do us any good. Now, who has the Holiday Feature paper bag for Starbucks? Oops, just kidding! Might as well say, “It’s all in the Paper bag!”
